#5367 – Repair the Altar

Good morning people who go back to what pleases and honours God.

1 Kings 18:30 NIV Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come here to me.” They came to him, and he repaired the altar of the Lord, which had been torn down.

It’s not always about a new thing – sometimes it is about a renewed thing.

Sometimes we need to repair the altar of the Lord before we can sacrifice on it.

Sometimes that which has been torn down needs to be reestablished.

Perhaps for you, this may be daily time meditating on God’s Word. Maybe it’s prayer from a place of faith and biblical declaration. Maybe it’s worship and adoration for who God is. Maybe it’s giving or forgiving or going again.

The reality is, the place of sacrifice has been removed from many believer’s lives. We want it easy, yet this is not God’s way. Persistence in the right direction pleases God. Faith and obedience pleases God.

In your life, what do you need to return to in God?

Is it daily meditating on God’s Word? Is it regularly praying for God’s will? Is it giving thanks in every situation? Is it being a generous person? Is it forgiving someone? Is it simply and fully obeying God’s last command to you?

It’s time to repair, restore and reestablish that which honours God.
