Good morning children of God who pray from heaven to earth.

As well as being called to be a pure prophet, I am called to be a praying man.

You too are called to be a praying person.

I believe with all of my heart, that there are deeper levels of prayer than many of us are aware of, or that we access freely and regularly. Let me try and unpack this a little.

Most of our prayers are from earth to heaven. We are very aware of our natural reality, and from this focus, we ask God for things to happen. It’s almost like we hope that God will come down and do something to help us.

Before I continue, every prayer can be powerful. We must not try to create a formula. If your heart is sincere, God hears you. So please don’t hear the wrong message of what I am saying. Be raw, be real, and be honest with God. You are His child and He is your Father.

But don’t stop at your present reality and understanding of prayer. There is more!

The following well-known scripture on prayer holds powerful keys for us all.

Matthew 6:9-10 NIV “This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

Our primary focus in prayer should be, ‘Our Father in heaven’, not, ‘our problems on earth’.

The more our attention is on God, the more powerful our prayers will be. This has not changed since the beginning of time. We were created by God and from God, and we were created to be one with God. This is a deep mystery that requires us to lean into God Himself for deeper revelation and understanding of this truth.
