#5276 – God in His Word

Good morning people who look to see God as you meditate on His Word.

One of the main ways we see God accurately is through His Word.

The challenge for many is that we don’t read God’s Word with the focus of seeing God. We have shifted our primary focus to ourselves and what is required of us in order to be good Christians.

It’s time to realign to God’s Word being about God.

Here’s what Jesus said to some Jewish leaders of His day:

John 5:39-40 NIV “You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.”

The Old Testament is not primarily about the people of God, rather, it is about God and His people. The difference is huge.

Whatever our starting point is will determine our destination.

If our starting point is us somehow reaching up to God and us being good enough for God, slavery will continue.

But if our starting point truly is God and His heart towards us, we will enter more deeply into the freedom for which Christ has set us free!

It’s time to look for God in His Word.
