#5258 – God’s Salvation

Good morning people who have been saved from death to life.

I want to point you today to God’s salvation; to the Son’s finished work.

Jesus did not come to make bad people good. Jesus came to make saints out of sinners!

Why?

So that we could be returned to fellowship with our Father in heaven!

1 John 4:9-10 NIV This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

The payment of sin reinstated a level of intimacy with the Father that was lost way back in the garden of Eden.

Continual sacrifices were never God’s plan. And yet, without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin (Hebrews 9:22).

So the Father sent His precious Son to pay the price – once for all. This is the nature of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ!

Hebrews 10:12 NIV But when this priest (Jesus) had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.

Jesus sat down at the right hand of His Father because, “It is finished!” truly means, “It is finished!”

Thank God for the gift of His Son Jesus Christ and for our salvation through Him!
