Good morning people who live free over every attack of the enemy.

Colossians 2:15 NIV And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

The devil and the demons of hell were legally defeated and disarmed as a result of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ on the cross!

It’s important to think about this from a legal perspective – not a natural legality, but a spiritual legality.

Satan had been given the authority on earth when the first Adam gave it to him through his sin.

Jesus Christ – the second Adam – legally took back the authority on earth when He lived, died and rose again as a sinless man.

The devil is still disarmed my friends!! He is powerless against a submitted follower of Jesus Christ, and his only power lies in us not believing this.

So often we feel shame, guilt and condemnation, yet Paul writes that it was the spiritual powers and authorities whom Jesus made a public spectacle of!

I’ve never thought about this before, but the devil must be embarrassed at how badly he lost!

So, today I encourage you that you are on the winning side because of our victor and champion, King Jesus!
