Good morning people who have been set apart for the glory of God.

Colossians 1:2 NIV To God’s holy people in Colossae, the faithful brothers and sisters in Christ: Grace and peace to you from God our Father.

This is a simple yet deep declaration of who we are called to be as followers of Jesus Christ.

We are called to be God’s holy people.

We are called to be faithful brothers and sisters in Christ.

Being a Christian is not a light thing. It is not a lifestyle change. It is not an improvement.

Everything changes when we accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour!

The KJV says, ‘To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ.’

You and I are called to be saints; we are called to be sacred, pure, morally blameless and a most holy thing.

This is not about being perfect – don’t go there. But it is about being in Christ and His life becoming our life. It is holistic. It is complete. It is transformative.

You and I are also called to be faithful; we are called to be trustworthy and true.

There is a higher calling for us today. Slight improvements are to be replaced with complete abandonment to the one who gave His everything for us.
