Good morning people who choose to stay and walk in the love of God

Jude 1:20-21 NIV But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

The moment we confess our sins and invite Jesus to be our Lord and Saviour, we are born again, and through the mercy of God, we have entered into eternal life. Praise God!

But there is a wonderful promise of one day being in the very presence of God eternally, without any of the distractions and fallenness of this world. I am looking forward to this day immeasurably!

While we wait, we do not do so passively or timidly. We do so with great intentionality and a God-directed passion!

We know that our very life comes from God and we cannot be good enough without Him. But we also acknowledge and commit to our part of keeping ourselves in God’s love by building ourselves up in our most holy faith and praying in the Spirit.

A bodybuilder’s muscles are not built up by someone else doing the work for them; they have to do the work themselves.  And so it is also true in our lives spiritually; we must build ourselves up in our most holy faith. 

What could happen if this remains our focus and pursuit this year?
