Good morning people who Jesus understands and empathises with

Going to Jesus sounds like the best option when life is tough. So why do we often not make this our first option, or even do it at all?

I believe we have a subconscious belief that “It’s different for Jesus because, although He was fully man, He was also fully God”. Sometimes we have this false perception that it was easier for Jesus than it is for us to go through the challenges of life because He was God.

I believe the depth of Jesus’ feelings, both physically and emotionally, were deeper than any you or I have ever, or will ever, go through…and He went through it all fully as a man.

Jesus was falsely accused when He was doing the right thing, betrayed to death by one of His closest friends, verbally attacked – over and over again, physically attacked and beaten beyond human recognition to the point where many others would have died, in a place where huge decisions made Him physically ill and in a place where He questioned where God was and His heart was breaking.

Jesus suffered more than any other human…and He suffered it completely as a human. This is the reason why He alone can say “Come to Me”, because He alone can fully understand the depths of our feelings. Have you ever shared your deep pain with someone who has admitted they don’t fully understand? Jesus does understand.

Matthew 27:46 NIV About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me!”

Matthew 27:50 NIV And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up His spirit.

I encourage you to talk to Jesus today. He understands.
