#3869 – Freedom in Christ

Good morning people who follow Jesus from a position of freedom

We are about to embark on a journey of leaning into the question, “What would Jesus do?” I believe with all my heart that Father will speak to us all, and for many of us (myself included), will challenge us and bring us to a place of realignment to Father’s purpose in areas of our lives.

Therefore, it’s imperative I set us up for this journey with an important focus.

It was for freedom that Christ set us free (Galatians 5:1), not for legalism or perfection!

For too much of my life, I have been a slave to legalism and perfection. It sucks the life out of you, and it does not bring about the righteous life that God wants and that we desire.

And so, my heart over the coming days is not to enslave any of us to legalism or perfection, or fear for that matter.

My heart is truly that we lean into intimately walking with Father and listening to the whispers from the Holy Spirit into our hearts.

It’s not about setting up a new set of rules and laws, but again, it’s about asking questions that prompt us to think about Jesus and what He would do, more than simply focus on ourselves and what we want to do.

So my friends, please join me as we step confidently and sincerely onto the journey of living as Jesus lived, and as we do, keep freedom in mind.
