Good morning people who run into your God and find safety in Him

Psalm 9:9 NIV The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.

Most of the time, a stronghold is seen as a negative. We talk about the strongholds of the enemy. We talk about his grip that paralyses many. We talk about his attacks as if they are insurmountable, and we do so while placing a huge weight in his ability.

But today I come to boldly proclaim truth deep into your heart and spirit: The Lord God ALMIGHTY is our stronghold in times of trouble!!

The enemy’s full strength doesn’t even register on the strength meter to the all-powerful and ever-present strength that is our God!

The enemy is no match for our God! The strongholds of the enemy are no match for the stronghold of our God!

And when we talk about the stronghold of our God, we are not talking about his grip on us to destroy, but His grip on us to keep us, no matter what! The stronghold of God is our safety, our protection, our strength and our hope!!!

But we need to run into Him, yes, even in times of trouble. God is our strength, our refuge and our stronghold, but we need to receive His strength, and we do so by focusing on Him.

Today, I encourage you to spend some extended time in God’s Word and in worshipping Him for His goodness and Who He is.
