Good morning people who stand securely in Christ by faith and not by works

“What does ‘IN CHRIST’ actually mean?”

“What does someone do differently that causes them to be ‘IN CHRIST’?

Father, open our eyes to see. We ask this in Jesus’ Name.

I feel Father wants me to make some statements that do not answer every question, but rather point us to leaning into Father ourselves and seeking Him for greater spiritual sight and spiritual understanding.

Legally (in the truest spiritual reality of the word), IN CHRIST is not based on ‘what we do by works’ but on ‘Someone we receive by faith’. In fact, IN CHRIST can only be accessed through the doorway of grace, which is, the doorway of Christ – and this is Who we receive!

May this life-changing scripture be seen afresh through spiritual eyes:

Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

“Do I believe Father has prepared, and therefore expects us to do good works?”

Yes, absolutely!

“But do good works save us; that is, legally position us IN CHRIST?”

Absolutely not!
