#3377 – New Covenant

Good morning people who receive mercy and grace from what Jesus has done

Galatians 6:14-16 NIV May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation. Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule—to the Israel of God.

Paul prayed for ‘peace and mercy to all who follow this rule’.

“Hang on, I thought it wasn’t about rules, law and circumstance?”

It’s not! It is about God’s grace, kindness and mercy, and that’s the context here.

The rule Paul is talking about here is ‘never boasting except about what Jesus did on the cross’ and focusing on and being grateful for ‘the new creation’.

In other words, Paul is releasing grace and mercy to those who keep their eyes fixed on Jesus and all that He has done for us!

May we be people of the new covenant; the covenant of mercy and grace.
