#2942 – What If God

Good morning people who expect God to do the supernatural in their lives

Recently I felt the Holy Spirit say something profound and wonderfully liberating to me. Here it is:

‘God doesn’t want His children to live ‘under pressure’, but ‘with expectation.’

He went on to further clarify what He meant:

‘Under pressure’ is a focus on what WE need to do.’

‘With expectation’ is a focus on what GOD can do!’

Sometimes we make it so much about us. It’s about what we need to do, how good we need to preach, how well we are leading. It’s about questions that constantly examine our performance: “Am I making the right decisions? Is this prophetic enough?…even now, “Am I writing this clear enough?”

“But what would happen if we made it more about what God can do and desires to do?”

“What if our ‘what if’ was asked about God from a place of expectation more than about us from a place of pressure?”

Here are some examples:

“What if God is as good as His Word says He is? What if God is for me and He is always working things together for my good? What if God’s presence is where fullness of joy is found and He can give a peace that passes my understanding? What if God heals the sick as I lay my hands on them and pray in faith? What if God reveals Himself as I preach His Word and encourage people? WHAT IF GOD…?”
