Good morning people who chase after knowing God more

Jesus said:

Matthew 7:21-23 (NIV) 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name and in Your name drive out demons and in Your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew You. Away from Me, you evildoers!’  

What we do is more important than what we say. We can say we follow Jesus, but the proof is in whether we actually follow Jesus and do what He says.

“So, what is the greatest will of the Father?”

According to this statement of Jesus, it is not doing things for God. It is not how much or how well we use the gifts God has given us. It is not how spiritual and helpful our actions are.

The greatest will of the Father, the one that pleases Him most, is when we set our hearts, minds, lives and priorities to know Him and love Him. Knowing God is more important than serving God.

“How is your pursuit of God? Is it your greatest priority?”
