#2304 – God Of Plenty

Good morning people who don’t have a poverty mindset

Today, I declare to you again the goodness and faithfulness of God! Here’s some encouragement from the Word of God. Let’s pray it over our lives – for the glory of God and for the benefit of others.

Psalm 37:18-19,25 (NIV) The blameless spend their days under the Lord’s care, and their inheritance will endure forever. In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty…I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.

I declare supernatural provision to you in Jesus’ Name! This is not wishful thinking nor is it prosperity preaching (as some would consider prosperity).

In fact, some Christians need to break the poverty mentality they have accepted under the guise of spirituality. This is the result of wrong theology, not spirituality.

Our God is not a God of lack!

I am not saying God will give us everything we want, but He does promise to supply all of our needs. Perhaps we would do well to redefine the word ‘needs’, as well as remember the context in which Paul stated the following verse.

Philippians 4:19 (NIV) And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.

In the previous verses, Paul states clearly that sometimes he had plenty and sometimes he lived in want; sometimes he was well fed and sometimes he was hungry…yet through it all, he learnt to be content; he was able to ‘rejoice in The Lord always’ (Philippians 4:4).

Maybe contentment and gratitude through every season is a greater mark of spirituality than having a poverty mindset.
