#2071 – Spiritual Perception

Good morning people who God desires to use for His glory

Joshua 2:1 (NKJV) Now Joshua the son of Nun sent out two men from Acacia Grove to spy secretly, saying, “Go, view the land, especially Jericho.” So they went, and came to the house of a harlot named Rahab, and lodged there.

The rest of this story shows God using Rahab to help the children of Israel enter the Promised Land. And that got me thinking…

…If God can use a prostitute to fulfil His purposes, He can use you and He can use me.

“I wonder if sometimes we write ourselves off when God doesn’t write us off.”

Many times God’s measuring rod of acceptance is different to ours. In fact, I would say, God’s whole way of doing things is different to ours.

Now, don’t misunderstand me, it does matter how we live – the Bible is clear on that. But God sees the bigger picture better than us. God also sees hearts and not just actions. God sees potential and value and purpose. God sees the work He is doing in people’s lives and not just the place where they are currently at.

I believe the word of the Lord to some of you today is this: “Don’t write yourself off when God hasn’t written you off.”

Oh to get the mind of God and see things how God does! Oh to get the mind of God and see ourselves how God does! I pray God gives us all spiritual perception today!
