#1221 – Once Only

Good morning people who live life wisely

Recently while praying, I felt the Holy Spirit drop this phrase into my heart:

“You can only use TIME once, use it wisely.”

That got me thinking.

Sometimes I waste time. There is nothing wrong with relaxing and resting. In fact, some of us need to either do this more, or do it more constructively. Yet even in our relaxing and resting we should consider the use of our time.

How do you use your time when relaxing and resting?

Time can never be replayed. We can’t go back; we can’t rewind the clock and have that second, that minute, that hour, that day, that week, that month, that year or that decade over again.

We only get one chance to live every moment.

So how are we going to live today; right now, in this moment of time?

Ephesians 5:16 (NKJV) Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

The word ‘redeeming’ here means: ‘to buy up, ransom, rescue from loss, improve opportunity’ and, if you look at the preceding verses and context, it is used in the present tense.

As I said, we can’t go back and replay a moment, but I see in this word the thought of treating the current time as valuable; improving the current opportunity and not allowing it to be lost in an unproductive way.

Are there things that God has assigned for you to do that require a change in how you use your time?

I know there is for me.
