Good morning people filled with God’s power
Acts 6:8 Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, did great wonders and miraculous signs among the people.
Following on from yesterday, I want to talk a little about Stephen. Now from the verse above, most of us would put Stephen in the ’more spiritual than me’ category; a mighty man of God, a preacher of the Word, a pastor or an evangelist, a least something akin to Billy Graham or…..
But if you read the few verses before this verse, Stephen was one of the men appointed to serve food to the widows so the apostles could give themselves to prayer and the Word!
Surely not! How can this be? Are you telling me this man didn’t have ’credentials’ and he was like most of us serving in the Church?
Let me make this clear today.
Stephen was one who saw many miracles performed. He was a powerful man of God. And he was not typically what we would call a ’minister’. Stephen had been appointed to meet the practical needs of the widows.
Yet he was available for God to do the supernatural through him. And God did – in a big way!
Are you available for God to use you in a similar way?
So you’re not a pastor, what does that have to do with it? Are you a person of faith? Are you filled with the Holy Spirit? Then the miraculous can, and dare I say it, should, happen through you. Now that’s exciting news!!!
Hunger for God to do supernatural things through you and step out in faith.
Who knows what might happen!!!
