#1132 – Building Relationships

Good morning people who commit to relationships

(By Margaret McCracken)

Nobody on their deathbed says, “I wish I had spent more time in the office.” They are more likely to say, “I wish I had spent more time with my family.”

Relationships matter because people matter!

Matthew 22:36-39 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’

We can’t do life well unless we relate well to people. The most successful people in life relate well. Jesus related well to all people. He loved all people. He set the example. He wept with Mary and Martha over the death of Lazarus.

Everyone needs at least one intimate relationship. By that, I mean a mutual sharing and giving of ourselves. Without such relationships we are prone to isolation, loneliness, imbalance and error.

Breakdown in relationships are the root cause of most problems in life. They cause people to leave their marriage and family, employment, church, club, friends, their country
