Good morning people who love to bless others

How do you give? Do you give to get something back in return or do you give simply to give and be a blessing?

Luke 14:12-14 Jesus said to the host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or relatives, or your rich neighbours; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

Now this is not saying that you can’t have dinner with your friends, so you don’t have to run out and cancel all your dinner appointments!

This is talking about our heart motivation. We should not just do things for people who can return the favour and pay us back. Our motivation shouldn’t be to give to others knowing that they will reciprocate sometime soon.
