Good morning people in need of God’s grace

I am captivated by the thought of God’s grace. I have been meditating on this recently and felt God start to speak to me. Allow me to think out loud for a bit as we look together at this amazing thought of God’s grace.

I believe that our understanding and definition of God’s grace is far too small and far too limiting.

Many times we focus on God’s grace simply from the position of forgiveness from sins. And indeed this is the starting point for all of us because every person needs to enter into relationship with God through the doorway of Jesus Christ. This is an act of grace.

Romans 3:23 All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

This is a reality. Every person has transgressed the laws of God and this is what we call sin. Sure it might not have been that bad but we are judging by imperfect human standards. God is holy and righteous and compared to Him the best of us has fallen short.

So where does that leave us?

It leaves us at a place where we all need God’s grace. In fact, salvation is something we receive from God. We can’t earn our way into heaven nor can we be good enough for God…and that’s the beauty of grace.
