#1008 – Significant Lives

Good morning people who live in God’s plan

God made us profoundly wonderful and He has a plan for all of our lives. This is the basis of our significance.

Psalm 139:16 Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.

My significance is connected to me living the life God has pre-ordained for me to live. It’s not just about me doing good works. It is about me doing the good works God has prepared in advance for me to do.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently.

Every day is lived best when we know we are doing what God has asked us to do. This involves listening to God. This involves doing what God says and not always what we want. This involves living selflessly in a way that is best for others.

Have you ever thought about the type of things you want people to say about you at your own funeral? I have and I was challenged by this thought. It made me ask the question:

Is the life I’m living NOW conducive to the words I want to hear then?

Significance doesn’t just happen carelessly or unintentionally. We need to live purpose-directed lives. We need to know and walk in God’s pre-ordained plans for us.

Will you commit to living a significant life?

Live intentionally today.
