Good morning people who focus on God in your prayers

Matthew 6:9 NIV This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.”

As we look at how Jesus taught us to pray, I see something so wonderful and very clear in this opening line of Jesus’ model prayer:

Prayer has a primary focus on God, not on answers.

Read the opening line again of Jesus’ prayer:

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.”

Everything about God, nothing about us.

This does not mean we can’t bring our petitions and requests to God. As we will see later, Jesus tells us to do this. But it is not the correct starting point for our prayers.

Prayer is putting God first.
