Good morning people who rely on and walk in the finished work of Calvary.

Hebrews 10:12-14 NIV But when this priest (Jesus) had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God, and since that time He waits for His enemies to be made His footstool. For by one sacrifice He has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

Upon the foundation of the truth that Jesus has paid the price once and for all, I want to lean into this statement:

And since that time He waits for His enemies to be made His footstool.

Did Jesus complete His mission and completely defeat the enemy? Yes!

Has Father placed all things under Jesus’ feet already, and didn’t Father do this for us, the church? (Ephesians 1:17-23) Yes!

So what is Jesus waiting for?

In part, I feel it is for us as believers to exercise our spiritual authority and walk in the victory that is legally ours. I believe Jesus wants us to place the enemy under our feet!

Revelation 12:11 NIV They triumphed over him (the enemy) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

Jesus’ blood has done its part.

It’s now our turn to testify according to the finished work, not according to our fleeting feelings.
