Good morning people who live in the light as God is in the light.

Matthew 4:16 MEV The people who sat in darkness saw great light. And on those who sat in the land of the shadow of death, light has dawned.

This statement was said about Jesus as prophesied by Isaiah. And what I am drawn to is the word light.

For anyone who has been on the BIY journey with me for a while, you know that I love the light and I believe that God loves the light. I would go as far as to say that our God is a God of light.

Here’s a few scriptures to meditate on today as you consider the truth that God loves light.

Genesis 1:3-4 MEV God said,  “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and God separated the light from the darkness.

John 1:4-5 MEV In Him was life, and the life was the light of mankind. The light shines in darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it.

1 John 1:5-7 MEV This then is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, yet walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

God is light – it doesn’t get any clearer than that!
