#6187 – Spiritual Discernment

Good morning people who separate what is of God and what is not of God.

Psalm 119:125 NIV I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.

Psalm 119:125 NKJV I am Your servant; give me understanding, that I may know Your testimonies.

There is a need for increased discernment in the times that we are living in.

But what is discernment?

Discernment means to separate mentally and to distinguish. There is no blurriness or vagueness when it comes to discernment. Discernment is about clarity and distinction. Discernment is clear and precise.

The greatest discernment is discerning what God is doing, not what the enemy is doing. Unfortunately, the devil gets more focus than God in the area of discernment. This is wrong.

What God is doing on the earth is much greater than what the enemy is doing on the earth!

But we need to look to see what God is doing. We need to ask Him to reveal His truth and His ways to us. We must yearn and hunger after His righteousness if we are going to be the salt and light that we are commissioned to be on the earth.

We cannot know the truth, that is, to ascertain by seeing, apart from the Holy Spirit revealing truth to us. We cannot study our way into truth or learn our way into understanding. We cannot argue or reason or rely on logic.

Knowing truth only comes by revelation from the Holy Spirit.

My wife Sally preached a powerful and insightful sermon on discernment that I would love you to watch and receive from. I believe this is a now word for some, and a word of realignment and enlargement for others. May you hear the voice of God through the following message: ‘Discernment in the Prophetic’.

Also, I commend to you Sally’s 10 Day YouVersion Plan ‘Spiritual Discernment’.
