Good morning people who do not let your reality stop your obedience.
Exodus 4:10-12 NIV Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”
Moses clearly heard the Lord tell him to go and speak on His behalf. Many times, hearing the Lord is not our issue. Moses heard, and I am sure there have been times when you have heard. Hearing is not the issue.
Moses heard the Lord, and rather than confidently trust Him, he did what we so often do – he looked at his own perceived limitation.
Your perceived limitation may be factually true.
I don’t think Moses was making something up when he said that he was slow of speech and tongue. I am sure that Moses did not feel confident in his ability to eloquently speak, something that was required if he was going to speak to Pharoah.
But here is the truth that Father wants you to see today:
Your perceived limitation is not an actual limitation.
Even if your perceived limitation is factually true, it is not an actual limitation to God!
If He has instructed you to do something, you can do it. If the circumstances say that you can’t, you can. If your reality says that you can’t, you can. If others say you can’t, you can.
The only limitation to what God has called you to do is your NO.
Have you said YES or NO to God’s instructions?
