#6050 – God with Us

Good morning people who are empowered through the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Exodus 3:10-12 NIV So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”

The most important thing about your God-given impossible assignment is that God has declared that He will be with you. Honestly, there is nothing more powerful!

It makes me think of what we call The Great Commission. It is God’s mandate to every believer and it is an impossible task. God knows this, and yet He gave it to us anyway.

Why?

Because with Him and through Him we can do all that He has told us to do! Look at His final words in relation to His commission to us:

Matthew 28:18-20 NIV Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

In case we miss what God is saying, He speaks very clearly in the following scripture too:

Deuteronomy 31:8 NIVThe Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

One of the names of God is Emmanuel which literally means God with us. He is not just near us – He is with us.

And this is why we can do all that He has told us to do.
