We live in a time where the prophetic is being accepted more than it used to be. But we are also living in a time where the prophetic is often mishandled.

1 Corinthians 14:3 But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort.

This is the purpose of prophecy. This passage is so clear in its purpose and its motivation and I know the heart of God cries out for people to operate this necessary gift to the Body as He intends. Let me highlight some phrases that flow throughout that show God’s emphasis on love’s motivation with the gift of prophecy.
