Good morning people who don’t argue against our all-powerful God. 

Permit me to make a clear statement: Arguing against God doesn’t work! 

Let’s just ask Jonah. 

Jonah 1:17 (NIV) Now the Lord provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. 

Jonah 2:10 (NIV)  And the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land. 

Now there’s no way to pretty up this story: Jonah argued against God and got swallowed by a whale, lived inside it for three days, and then was vomited on to the land. Swallowed! Vomited! Don’t sanitise this…IT’S GROSS BEYOND WORDS!!!! 

Adam and Eve argued against God and agreed with the enemy and devastation entered the world!  

It might be on a much smaller scale, but some of us are arguing against something Father has told us to do. Maybe He’s asked you to step out and use your gifts, or start a business, or go to Bible College, or forgive that person, or try something you have failed at previously…you fill in your blanks.  

Well, I have some encouragement for you: Arguing against God doesn’t work!
