Good morning people who trust God completely
Matthew 9:18-19 While He was saying this, a ruler came and knelt before Him and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.” Jesus got up and went with him, and so did His disciples.
What a picture of profound faith. Here we see a man coming to Jesus with a challenge. It was not that his daughter was unwell but rather that she was dead.
Maybe you feel like there are some things in your life that have died. Maybe to the natural mind these things are beyond hope.
But then there is Jesus.
Jesus specialises in resurrection life. He can breathe life into that which is dead. He did it for this ruler and He can do it for us.
But we need to stay on the side of faith and must not listen to the voices that focus on the impossibility. You might need to put those voices outside so that Jesus remains.
Matthew 9:23-25 When Jesus entered the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd, He said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at Him. After the crowd had been put outside, He went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.
Let’s not be quick to enter into the funeral ceremony for something in which God says there is still life. Maybe it’s your marriage, your children, your dreams, a promise from God…maybe it is your faith itself.
Don’t give up
