Good morning people God wants to work through
This BIY is longer than normal but I believe it is a prophetic message for some.
At times we make it almost impossible for God to use us. Even when He has made it clear in His Word that He wants our lives to be a blessing to others and that He has empowered us to represent Him, we seem to constantly come up with reasons why God’s got it wrong. Maybe He hasn’t and maybe we need to accept rather than reject God’s choosing.
In Exodus 3 God clearly lays out the plan of how He is going to use Moses to lead the children of Israel out of slavery. Yes it is a huge task and one that would make anyone a little apprehensive but remember God Almighty is speaking to Moses miraculously and making it clear “This will work”. In this situation surely Moses would be assured and he would eagerly embrace the calling of God. Again I encourage you to read the whole chapter but here’s some verses that make it clear Moses struggled with the call of God.
Exodus 4:1 Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you’?”
In response the Lord told Moses to throw his staff on the ground. It turned into a snake and when he picked it up it turned back into a staff. The Lord also made Moses’ hand turn leprous and then healed it. He followed these two miracles with a promise of more to come if they didn’t listen. Obviously this convinced Moses…right?
Exodus 4:10 Moses said to the Lord, “O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue”.
The Lord then responded that He gave man his mouth and would show Moses what to say and help him say it. Clearly now Moses fully embraced God’s request and boldly went…or maybe not.
Exodus 4:13 But Moses said, “O Lord, please send someone else to do it.”
God is far more patient than I am but even His patience runs out at times with our constant excuses and focus on our inability and not God’s supernatural and limitless ability
