Good morning people with a loving heavenly Father

Luke 15:20 So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

The father, our heavenly Father, is not only watching for us and filled with compassion, He moves towards us.

In this story, here is the father, the patriarch of the family, the respected one whose wayward son is returning. Decorum would say the son should approach bent low and begging for mercy to a stern father ready to exact justice and judgement. Unfortunately that’s how we so often perceive God and us.

Yet this father, this respected one ran to his son. He made haste to get to him. Our heavenly Father is not one that is waiting for us to get the formula just right
