Good morning people who move towards their Father
The son had the right thoughts; I have sinned but it’s time to go back to my father. As long as these correct thoughts remained thoughts, he would still be separated from his loving father.
At some point in our lives, right thinking needs to become right doing. I love this little phrase:
Luke 15:20a So he got up and went to his father.
What an amazing day for this young man!
And what an amazing day this can be for you too. I know some of you have been thinking the right thoughts for some time; that’s great. But mixed in there, there have been doubts and fears. You have worried because of your unfaithfulness.
But today I declare God’s faithfulness. He says with deep, sincere love and with open arms, “Come home; you are welcome here”. He says, “What I have done for you is greater than what you have done to Me. Receive freely. I’m waiting for you”.
Can you hear Him?
Will you respond?
Will you move from thinking to action?
Will you come home?
2 Corinthians 6:2b I tell you, now is the time of God’s favour, now is the day of salvation.
