#711 – Always In Need

Good morning people who God loves so very much

Let’s continue with our story of the lost son and the loving Father.

Luke 15:14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need.

So often when we are caught up in ‘wild living’, as it says in the verse before this, we do not feel like we have any needs. In fact, many who are living the good life look at committed Christians with sympathy because of how much we are missing out on the fun things in life.

Here’s the truth, a life outside of a deepening relationship with our loving and gracious heavenly Father will end up in a severe famine and we will discover we are in great need. Oh what a sad, sad place to find ourselves in.

Today if you are in the place of having spent everything and finding yourself in great need, there is hope.

His Name is Jesus Christ. He is the Saviour of the world. He is not focused on condemning you for your sins but on loving you to wholeness. He is a gracious and merciful God; a God of incredible compassion. This is God’s heart for you today, right now, wherever you are.

Lamentations 3:22-23 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is God’s faithfulness.

God’s Word to you today is He loves you no matter what you have done. He desires you and you can come, not because of what you have done but because of His faithfulness. Reach out and receive unconditional, complete love today.
