Good morning people who are trying to live right
Today I simply want to encourage you with this thought. God is more understanding of our journey than we often are.
If you are anything like me, you often feel like you are missing the mark, that you should be doing better, you should be more patient, you should be less proud, you should be praying more, you should not be struggling in ‘this’ area or ‘that’ area, that you should, must, ought to… You get the picture and you understand what I am saying.
Life many times is viewed by us through the eyes of how far we have yet to go. Let’s be honest, this can be pretty discouraging. Defeat breeds defeat and it doesn’t even have to be real defeat (sometimes we think we are doing worse than we are and sometimes we are way too hard on ourselves). You see, God sees things differently to us.
I believe with all my heart that God sees where many of us are at and He rejoices. Sure we are not where we want to be but we are also not where we were. This is something to praise God for.
Yet the enemy, the father of lies, the accuser of the Christians, the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy our hope, peace and joy works overtime to make us believe that we have blown it one too many times, that we are further back in our journey than we actually are and that our heart is just evil. Have you ever felt like this?
Today brothers and sisters, I declare God loves you and if you have committed your life to Him and if you have a desire to please Him, He says:
“Ok my son, ok my daughter, take my hand and let’s walk on together. Don’t look back and grieve about where you have been and what you have done. Look around and see where you are at now. You are not where you were. Look ahead and see the future I have for you. I plan to prosper you and to do you good. I am changing you as you yield to Me. When you stumble and fall I will make sure you are not totally cast down; I will uphold you with My hand. It’s ok. Rejoice with me on the journey. Accept where you are at and let Me lead you on. I love you.”
