Good morning children of our heavenly Father
1 Corinthians 8:4-6 So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no God but one. For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
For most people, the most prominent Person of the God-head is Jesus. The Scriptures are full of Jesus. The Gospels are full of Jesus. The Apostles constantly talked about Jesus. Salvation has to come through accepting Jesus.
But did you know that Jesus came to point people to the Father? The Bible is so clear on this. A great passage is the whole chapter of John 17 and I encourage you to meditate on it. Here’s just a couple of relevant verses.
John 17:25-26 (Jesus speaking) Righteous Father, though the world does not know You, I know You, and they know that You have sent Me. I have made You known to them, and will continue to make You known in order that the love You have for Me may be in them and that I Myself may be in them.
When Jesus taught us how to pray in Matthew 6, He directed us to pray to the Father. Jesus’ life was and is a sign-post to His Father; to our heavenly Father
Today here is my simple question: How well do you know Father God? I encourage you to start to talk to Him more. He loves you very much.
