Good morning people who want to see God more
2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Lord’s Spirit.
We become what we behold.
The cry of our hearts needs to be “Reveal Yourself to me God”. The more we see Him; the clearer we see Him; the more accurately we see Him, determines the clarity of the face in the mirror we, and consequently others, see.
I believe the Word of God is our greatest mirror to see God. When we meditate on God’s Word, God’s nature and character is clearly seen. But we must look for it. (I’ll talk more about this tomorrow).
The more we continue to look into that mirror; that image of God, the more we will become like that image. The challenge for us in life is keeping our eyes on what we should be looking at. We are reminded of this in Hebrews 12:2 where it says ‘Let us fix our eyes on Jesus’. But oh how the complexities and contradictions of life scream at us to look at them.
Today I ask us this question: “What are we beholding (looking at) most in life?
Maybe it’s time to lift up our eyes and behold the wonder of who God is.
