Good morning people who desire God’s will

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

What is this scripture actually saying? Is this a declaration of truth that we must simply accept: God’s ways and thoughts are so much higher than ours and we will never understand His ways? Is it an acceptance of our low state and of God’s high state?

Or is this a presentation of truth as a foundation from which we launch? Is this an accurate picture that is not so much a limitation but an invitation?

I believe God is looking for people who earnestly seek Him
