Good morning people of spiritual perception

Genesis 21:19 Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.

Was the well always there? Did God supernaturally make a well appear? Maybe; it’s definitely possible because God can do anything. But is it possible she could not see what was there and simply needed her eyes opened? Was this more about spiritual sight than natural sight? Is there a connection between spiritual perception and how we see the natural world around us?

God is stirring my heart so much at the moment about the need for divine revelation. Oh how much we all need this in an increasing measure.

We don’t need more knowledge alone. We don’t need more experience alone. We don’t need more skill alone. All these are good but they are insufficient.

We need revelation from God; we must have this above all else. We need our eyes opened to see what God wants to show us. Did you hear me my friends? We need to see as God sees. We need the scales removed from our eyes. We need to not be limited by natural sight but we need to see through spiritual eyes.

This will change our natural sight also. It might not change how well our eyes work but it will change the way we see the world, the people God created, the beauty and the wonder, the broken-hearted and the destitute…oh to see as God intends; that’s my cry, that’s my desire.

“Father, open our eyes to see; to truly see…to see as You see.”
