Good morning those trusting God along the way
Genesis 12:1 The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you”.
These are interesting words we see in this verse. It does not say “Go to THIS place or THAT place”. The instruction was to ‘Go to a place I will show you’.
We want it all mapped out and clear before we start. We want to know our destination. Sometimes God’s plan is for us to simply get moving and then He will lead us. Maybe it’s a life of faith that is more pleasing to God than simply obeying clear instructions all the time.
I’m reminded of Genesis 24:27. This is the story of Abraham’s servant who is setting out to find a wife for Isaac. He had general instructions from Abraham. Here is what we read: ‘Being on the way, the Lord led Him’.
Again it comes down to trusting God in the midst of uncertainty and when our path is not clearly mapped out.
Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord
