Good morning people committed to God’s cause
Genesis 11:6-7 The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”
Mark 3:24-25 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
When people commit completely to a common cause, where there is sacrifice and a resolve no matter what, people will achieve much. The problem is people can commit to that which is good or that which is evil. Hitler and the Nazis were committed to a cause and it almost destroyed the world. The disciples of Jesus were committed to a cause and they DID change the world.
We must be committed and in unity for the RIGHT cause.
What are YOU committed to? Are you committed to the cause of Christ? Is furthering His cause of greater importance than our own comfort and agenda? Are we willing to put aside ‘every weight and every sin that so easily entangles us’ (Hebrews 12:1) and are we willing to ‘run the race that has been marked out for us’?
Are we committed to unity in the Body of Christ? Are we committed to working with our brothers and sisters and not against them? Are we focused on that which unifies us or that which could divide us? Let’s not forget Psalm 133: ‘Where there is unity, God commands the blessing’.
