Good morning people who look to God for wisdom
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ’You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
The first thing we must know about Satan is he is not stupid; he is very crafty. This word crafty means ‘cunning’. He is a schemer, a planner, a being who thinks about what he wants to achieve and how he can achieve it.
We need to understand Satan’s schemes and abilities. So again I remind us that he is not stupid. He knows how to undermine the Word of God and God Himself, and he does it subtly. He knows how to twist and pervert that which is good, and he does it subtly. He knows how to fly under the radar and not be detected, and he does it subtly. He knows how to work and have people believe it is not him, and he does it subtly. He is crafty.
Is he also blatant in his evil intent? Absolutely. But most of the time the blatant is easy to spot and avoid. It’s the subtleness that we must be prayerfully aware of.
So what do we do? We must have full assurance and confidence of this one thing: We serve and live for the Author of Wisdom!!! Did you hear me? Have a look at this scripture.
James 1:5-6 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
One of our greatest prayers should be “Lord, keep me in the truth. Help me to be spiritually perceptive and listening to the Holy Spirit.” I believe God answers these prayers.
