Good morning people who put in the good stuff
What we eat affects our health. What we put into us affects what happens to us. We have heard it said ‘garbage in = garbage out’. We cannot eat junk food every day and neglect healthy food and expect to be strengthened and nourished. There is truth in the saying ‘you are what you eat’.
Our lives are like going to a restaurant. We have a plethora of food options available to us. What we eat determines what taste is left in our mouths when we leave. A wise person eats what is pleasant to the taste as well as what will nourish them and strengthen them.
The same is true spiritually for every one of us. What we feed upon affects our lives in every way. Yet why is it that we so often feed ourselves on negativity and junk in our minds and our speech and then expect to have a pleasant taste left in our mouths? As humans, we gravitate automatically towards the negative, all the while expecting healthy minds and lives.
Food doesn’t automatically get ingested through our pores; we must put it in our mouths. How about all the negativity and junk that is all around us simply because we are alive? Yes it is there, yes we must guard our minds but we can also choose not to put it into us. We choose what we eat. We choose what we think on. We do not however choose the resulting life
