Good morning people with a wonderful God
Joshua 5:11-12 The day after the Passover, that very day, they ate some of the produce of the land: unleavened bread and roasted grain. The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate of the produce of Canaan.
God had sustained the Israelites for many years on manna. It wasn’t very appealing but it was supernatural provision that kept them going.
Now I love the thought I see here. When God’s provision of manna stopped it was replaced with the produce of Canaan. God shuts one door only to open a much better door. Here’s a snippet of what they had to eat in Canaan.
Numbers 13:23,27 When they reached the valley of Eshcol, they cut off a branch bearing a single cluster of grapes. Two of them carried it on a pole between them, along with some pomegranates and figs…They gave Moses this account: “We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey!”
So God has closed a door in your life…I say get ready for what He is about to do! Keep your heart right and stay in faith and I believe that God will ‘perform wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted’! (Job 5:9) Our God is wonderful, awesome and amazing and He loves to lavish us with good things! (Matthew 7:11)
