#611 – New Places

Good morning people who follow God where He leads

Joshua 3:3-4 When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priest, who are Levites, carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before. But keep a distance of about a thousand yards between you and the ark; do not go near it.

God is a God of newness. We have received newness of life; an exchange of the old for the new. God is a God who declares ‘Behold I do a new thing!’ We are told God’s mercies are new every morning. Newness: a different way, a different day, a different life. This is God’s plan.

And when He leads us, He often takes us to new places. How comfortable are you with the old? Don’t get too attached; I can almost guarantee a change will happen sooner or later.

Are you ready to step into the unknown? There’s a line from an old song that says ‘I walk into the unknown, trusting all the while’. Will you brave new places, new ways and new opportunities if that is where God is leading? Will you trust that He knows exactly what He is doing?

We all need a little ‘newness’ in our lives from time to time. Get ready, some newness from God might be just around the corner!
