Good morning people who are mindful of God in your place of employment.
Exodus 3:1-4 NIV Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.” When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.”
The mountain of God is the meeting place with God. We know this and we often think about our quiet times or going to church as our meeting places. They can be and they should be, but we must not limit God to the places that appear spiritual.
Moses went to the mountain of God while he was leading his father-in-law’s flock.
I believe that we must honour our place of employment as a place of employment. By this I mean, we must not rob from our employers by doing things that we are not employed to do. Our working for our employers should accurately reflect us working for the Lord.
But this does not mean that we can’t encounter God at work!
The Spirit of God who lives in you does not remain in your prayer closest or at your church for you to only visit Him next Sunday. He lives in you; He abides and remains in you!
The Spirit of wisdom and revelation wants to speak through you in your place of employment. He wants to show the love of God through how you speak and act and work. He wants to be seen in how you respond to hardships and criticism and unfairness.
Are you intentionally aware of God throughout your day?
Is your place of employment a meeting place with God for those who encounter you?
