#6026 – Where God Sends

Good morning people who keep in step with the Holy Spirit’s leading in every moment.

I heard the Lord say:

The success of ministry is not based on where you go, but on where God sends.

The same is true in your life.

There is far too much focus on ‘bigger, better and further.’ People are enamoured with where you have gone and what you have done and who you have spoken to. Bigger platforms seem to get higher praise from people. It’s like we measure by human standards of popularity and praise.

But this is not the measure of success or fruitfulness in God!

Life is about divine assignments. That’s it. Honestly, it’s not about the place or the stage or the name-dropping. It’s got to stop.

If Father sends you to speak to three people in an unknown place, then you had better go and share His heart with them. If Father calls you to a large stage to preach to thousands, then you had better go and fulfil Father’s commission to you.

The right place is the place that God has authored and that He has empowered you for.

For many readers, you are not called to go and to preach as I have described above. But you are called to be full-time on assignment from your Father in heaven. And honestly, this underlines the point Father is making.

Stop comparing yourselves to those who have a platform. The platform is not the goal. Obedience to God-given assignments is the goal. Being noticed is not the goal. Bringing a smile to Father’s face is the goal.

If the Lord prompts you to call somebody, call them. If Father prompts you to pray for someone, pray for them. If Father prompts you to give to someone, give to them. If Father prompts you to go somewhere, then go.

Matthew 6:1-4 NIV “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
