Good morning people whose God rescued you from sin into eternal life.
Genesis 50:24 NIV Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die. But God will surely come to your aid and take you up out of this land to the land he promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.”
The land that Joseph spoke of when he said God will surely come to your aid and take you up out of this land is talking about Egypt.
The Book of Exodus tells the story of God bringing the children of Israel out of slavery from Egypt. It was miraculous and powerful, and it is a symbol of God’s redemptive plan for the whole earth.
Christmas is tomorrow. This is a time to stop and remember what God did for us. The pinnacle verse of Christmas started and was stated in one of the most well-known verses of the Bible. Here it is:
John 3:16 NIV For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
God sent Jesus in order to bring us out of slavery into freedom. His human life started as a little baby and ended as the risen King of kings and the exalted Lord of lords!
Isaiah 9:6 NIV For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Today is a day of salvation! Around the world, my prayer is that this season will be a time when many people come out of Egypt into the Promised Land. May life replace death as people receive a revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
