#6013 – God’s Love

Good morning people who are safe because of the presentness of God.

Genesis 46:2-4 NIV And God spoke to Israel in a vision at night and said, “Jacob! Jacob!” “Here I am,” he replied. “I am God, the God of your father,” he said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surely bring you back again. And Joseph’s own hand will close your eyes.”

I absolutely love this often-quoted statement found throughout the Bible:

“Do not be afraid, for I will…”

God’s “I will” is not always about rescuing us from a situation, but it is always about being present no matter what.

God’s presentness is the antidote to all fear!

Psalm 23:4 NIV Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Matthew 28:20b NIV …And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

1 John 4:18a NIV There is no fear in love…

We are told that ‘God is love’ (1 John 4:8,16). Therefore, the truth is that, when we are hidden in God, fear has no power or place!

My simple prayer for you today is to receive a deeper revelation of the power of being safe in the hands of God.
